The Southern Showcase was founded in 2024 with the sole purpose of guiding elite junior golfers on their path to college recruitment and competitive golf. By hosting smaller-field tournaments, the Showcase provides a unique opportunity for young athletes to showcase their talents in a focused, supportive environment. With a keen focus on helping players navigate the complexities of junior golf rankings, the Southern Showcase aims to put them on the path toward advancement in both their game and their recruitment prospects.

The Southern Showcase will feature age-specific tournaments, organized into three divisions: 11 & Under, 12-13, and 14-18. Each event will be a non-caddy format for Boys and Caddy Optional for Girls, encouraging junior golfers to develop independence and a deeper understanding of the game. With a goal of creating focused and competitive fields, we aim for a maximum of 15 players per division.
Our tournament series will consist of 8-10 events per year, culminating in a season-ending championship for the winners and top finishers from each event. Fields will be filled primarily through invitations, with remaining spots open for registration. Selection criteria will be based on a combination of performance metrics, rankings, and the timing of registration. All tournaments will be submitted to JGS and other Jr Ranking platforms.

Our Tournaments are TUGR (15-18 div)e
TUGR stands for The Universal Golf Rankings — a modern golf ranking system that aims to evaluate golfers globally and inclusively, using performance-based data rather than just traditional tour points.
It ranks golfers based on a strokes-gained head-to-head model — comparing performance relative to other players under the same conditions (course, event, weather).
TUGR is not the same as the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) — which is the traditional pro golf ranking used for major event eligibility.
The goal of TUGR is to be unbiased, transparent, and more reflective of true performance across tours, levels, and regions.
