Do I Have to Buy New Shafts Every Time My Child Grows?
No - You Do Not Have to Buy a New Shaft!

At iGen Golf, our goal is to help your child get the maximum life and performance out of their equipment.
When your child grows a few inches, we can typically:

• ✔ Extend the existing shafts using professional-grade shaft extenders
• ✔ Recheck swing weight
• ✔ Adjust lie angle as needed
• ✔ Keep the clubs properly fit
This means you usually do not need brand-new shafts every time they grow.
Why Our Shafts Are Different: Most junior golf companies use inexpensive $5–$10 shafts designed for short-term use. We use premium-performance shafts — the same models and materials trusted at the highest
levels of competitive golf, including the PGA TOUR.

They are built to:
• Maintain consistent flex
• Deliver stable ball flight
• Last for multiple seasons of growth
We want your player to grow into their equipment — not out of it every year.

What About “One-Time Shaft Replacement” Offers when My Child Grows? Some companies advertise a one-time free shaft replacement when your child grows. However, replacing or lengthening a shaft alone does not fully solve the fitting issue — because if the club head is cast, the loft and lie angles cannot be adjusted.

When a child grows and the shaft gets longer:
• Lie angle changes• Ball start direction can shift
• Turf interaction changes
If loft and lie can’t be corrected, the club may no longer be properly fit — even with a new shaft.
True long-term fitting requires adjusting length, loft, lie, and swing weight together.

Big Growth Spurt? We’ll Help.
If your child has had a huge growth spurt and you’re unsure what to do — just give us a call. We’ll walk you through. You don’t have to guess. We’re here to help you make the right decision.

What Happens When They Get Stronger? As your child develops:
• Height increases → we extend shafts
• Strength increases → we may recommend increasing shaft flex
A flex upgrade is based on swing speed and strength — not simply height.

Simple Summary You don’t need new shafts every year. We extend them as your child grows, adjust loft and lie to maintain accuracy, and only recommend flex changes when performance truly demands it.
